Notice anything strange happening in here? It's raining! That's because rainy days are perfect times for doing crafts. So the next time you're stuck inside without anything to do, try one of these nifty activities.

SQUISH    BALLS

Materials,(FOR 1 BALL):

2 balloons of different colors

birdseed

scissors

a funnel

What to do:

1. Place the spout of the funnel inside the neck of one of the balloons.

2. Fill the balloon with birdseed.

3. Press the birdseed down into the balloon to make sure it is filled well,(but don't fill the neck of the balloon!)

4. Remove the funnel and cut off the necks of the filled balloon and the unfilled balloon.

5. Cut a few other SMALL holes in the unfilled balloon,(be sure not to cut the holes too large because they will stretch!)

6. Stretch the unfilled balloon at the neck and fit it over the filled balloon, positioning the unfilled balloon to cover the neck hole of the filled balloon.

7. Squish it and play with it! Have fun!

Imitation    PlayDoh

Ingredients

1 cup flour

1/2 cup salt

1 teaspoon cooking oil

1 cup water

What to do:

1. Mix everything in a pan.

2. Have an adult cook the mixture for about 3 minutes.

3. Let it cool down, then play with it! Remember not to eat any of this - YUCK!

BIRD    FEEDER

Materials:

1 toilet paper tube,(no toilet paper on it!)

Bird seed

String/yarn

Peanut Butter

What to do:

1. Spread peanut butter all over the outside of the toilet paper tube.

2. Roll the tube in birdseed.

3. Tie the tube with the string,(put the string through the tube and tie the ends)(make sure to use enough string!)

4. Hang the new birdfeeder somewhere that birds will like.
